I have owned two Bo 208 Junior and a Bo209 Monsun which I flew for 30+years. These fotos are of werk nr 546 which I have restored and recreated BB905, one of the "Biafra Babies". Research of Biafran history took several years in order to permit a precise re-creation of the BB905 project. The fotos were taken at my home on the Buckingham Army Air Field, a historic airport, near Fort Myers, Florida. The motor is the new TMX Continental IO-240 B2 fuel injected 125 hp and carries a custom Sensenich propeller. Flight testing will begin shortly, following completion of the documents required by our FAA. I plan to display the Junior at several airshows and fly-ins. A Summary of Modifications to Bolkow Junior ( Bo208)

werk nr. 546, reg no. N905BB

 

 

!.  Engine;

a)     Original  Continental O-200 removed and replaced with a new Continental TMX series IO-240B installed on OE engine mounts, with no modifications to cowling or structural components.

2. Propeller;

a)     New Sensenich wood propeller Model W69EK7

installed. Certification by TCDS P00001NY

b.) ARP502a crank flange on above engine has

     insufficient surface area for wood props, re-

     quiring the use of a Saber (DA-20) hub adapter.

3. Fuselage;

a.) Addition of battery access door in left side of

                        fuselage as used on 208C model. See Dwg #

                        208-21843.xx

                   b.) Removal of “A” model 80 liter fuel tank.  Replaced

               with  100 liter tank  Dwgs # 208-69113.xx

                         including new straps and fuel level sensor.  No

                         structural changes were required.

 c.)  Fabrication and installation of flight instrument

       panel as used on 208C model, including fuselage

       mounted vacuum venturi.  According to Dwgs #

       208-7123.xx

4.Wings;

   a.)Replaced original wing tips with larger optional

tips PN 208-11151 and 208-11152 to increase wing area to 100 sq.ft.  ref parts catalogs.

5. Electrical;

a.) Installation of new FWF harness to accommodate

new IO-240 engine and its required sensors. ref     schematics

b.) Installation of new Walbro electric fuel pump for

      priming function.  Ref sketches

c.) Installation of  electric engine instruments 

      required by new engine.

d.) All switches, circuit breakers, warning lights, and

      connectors replaced with new items.

6. General;
